One thing I do know however is that when you are looking for this topic also look at the late 1930s, that was when a number of industries, like the aircraft industry, which would be so important in WW2 were building up their capacity.
On a related note for the relationship between the economy, industry and the way for Germany there is a great book by Adam Tooze, the name of which escapes me right now.</description>

It&#039;s so terrible that specific verbiage really just glosses over these pretty critical facts! I mean, who questions the source of their materials anymore? Are we forever doomed to a library of material where historians keep quoting each other and not primary source documentation!? Ugh. Disgust and disgrace.</description>
